Australia’s building and construction industry generates approximately $350 billion annually and is projected to increase to $400 billion by 2023.
Already the third largest industry sector employer in Australia, the construction industry is forecast to create an additional 80,000 new jobs over the next five years.
All sections of the industry: Commercial construction; House building; Apartment building and Engineering construction – are experiencing growth.
With the additional surge in renovation projects – worth $6.6 billion in 2017 (the highest in 10 years) – demand for qualified tradespeople is increasing and employment capacity is at its highest since 2008.
