CPC08 Construction High Risk Work Licensing Units Continuous Improvement Project

A project to support the implementation of the National Standard to develop ‘licensing’ units that reflect the minimum safety standards required by persons performing high risk work to obtain a ‘licence to operate’, as required by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulators in each state and territory. 

CPC08 Builder Registration and Qualifications Alignment Continuous Improvement Project

This project will amend the structure of both the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) with support of all key industry and RTO stakeholders, including the State and Territory regulators responsible for builder registration and licensing.

Barriers and Drivers for Bricklaying Apprenticeships - Funded by DEEWR - Industry Pathfinder Project

This project aims to identify barriers that are presently hindering the take-up of New Apprenticeships in Bricklaying and Blocklaying (i.e General Construction – Bricklaying/Blocklaying).

Townsville Indigenous Concreting Training Project

A project to help address skill shortages in the construction industry in regional Australia and help to lleviate the higher than average unemployment rates within the Indigenous Community in the Townsville region.

Plumbing Sector

National Plumbing Industry Training: Pathways Beyond BCP03 -  Funded by DEEWR - Industry Pathfinder Project

This project aims to identify barriers that are presently hindering the national implementation of Certificate IV and other training pathways beyond BCP03 in plumbing and other related services.

Plumbing and Services Training and Assessment resources for Migrant Workers

The purpose of this project is to develop Plumbing exemplar training delivery and assessment resources (training course documentation), assessment resources, and support mechanisms (support manuals and profiling cards) to assist Registered Training Organisations meet the ‘Minimum Australian Context Training Gap’ for the qualification Certificate III in Plumbing.

National Best Practice for Plumbing Industry Training

Develop a national overview of current best practice methods that overcome the identified barriers to implementation, and highlight flexible delivery of the plumbing training qualifications.

PRM04 Asset Maintenance Training Package Upgrading of Imported Units

PRM04 Asset Maintenance Training Package was endorsed originally in 2004. Since that time most of the Training Packages from which the imported units are sourced have been reviewed and the units of competency developed.

Access Consulting

Development of a Vocational Graduate Diploma of Access Consulting Project
A project for the development of a training and recognition pathway for access consultants to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards 2010.

A project to develop and promote Apprenticeships in the Spatial Information Industry.

Security Sector

Cash-in-Transit

Redevelopment of four units of competency for the cash-in-transit industry sector. These units are from the Transport and Logistics Training Package and will be incorporated into the security sector in CPP07 Property Services Training Package.

Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) and Residential Building Mandatory Disclosure (RBMD)

The Department of Energy Efficiency and Climate Change (DEECC) contracted Construction and Property Services Industry Training Council (CPSISC) in May 2010 to undertake a scoping project for the development of qualifications for Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) and Residential Building Mandatory Disclosure (RBMD) assessors. This is in line with the implementation of government policy initiatives under the National Strategy on Energy Efficiency (NSEE).
