Scoping review of CPC08 Building Surveying Qaulifications
The Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC), through its continuous improvement process, is undertaking a scoping review of the existing Building Surveying qualifications – CPC50108 Diploma of Building Surveying and CPC60108 – Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying after representations from industry indicating that the qualification needs updating to reflect current industry practices.
The scoping report will provide advice on:
- the need from a national perspective to review and restructure the current Building Surveying qualifications
- the need for higher-level units or a full qualification at a higher level
- whether the current core and elective units of competency are relevant or need to be reviewed and restructured
- impact of changes on current regulatory arrangements by jurisdiction
- impact of anticipated changes driven by national licensing
- impact on any existing apprenticeship/traineeship pathways
- support for change to the national qualification from key stakeholders including regulators.
Ms Georgie Cane, Performance Growth has been awarded a contract to conduct this scoping and provide advice to the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CIAC).
