Consolidation & Deletion of selected Certificates II & III in CPC08 Construction, Plumbing & Services Training Package
CPC08 CONSTRUCTION, PLUMBING AND SERVICES INTEGRATED FRAMEWORK TRAINING PACKAGE
Introduction
The Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC) has commenced a project to consolidate and delete selected Certificates II and III in CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package.
The project will involve:
the consolidation of:
a. CPC20308 Certificate II in Steelfixing;
b. CPC20408 Certificate II in Concreting; and
c. CPC20508 Certificate II in Stoneworking
within the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package into a redeveloped Certificate II in Construction qualification;
AND
the deletion of CPC31708 Certificate III in Low Rise Structural Framing within the CPC0 8 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package
A scoping project was undertaken in early 2010 to gauge the demand for these qualifications. This revealed that there are very limited enrolments in these qualifications across the country. It also showed that the outcomes of CPC31708 Certificate III in Low Rise Structural Framing may be achieved through other Certificate III qualifications in the Training Package.
Project Process
Consultations will be conducted with all key stakeholders, including those RTOs with the qualifications on their scope of registration. Both face-to-face meetings and teleconferences will be held.
CPSISC will conduct this project in accordance with the Training Package Development and Endorsement Process.
