Home construction slump adds to building industry woes
NEW home construction has slumped for the fourth time in five quarters, as the weak property market takes a growing toll on builders. Official figures yesterday showed the number of new housing projects that started in the September quarter dropped by 6.

Industry trainee numbers fall 31 per cent - Ardern
Industry trainee numbers have fallen by 41,000 --- or 31 per cent --- since National came to office, Labour's Employment and Youth Affairs spokesperson Jacinda Ardern said today.
