About the facilitator:

Marlene Johnson, M.J. Johnson & Associates

Marlene has worked in the education and training sector for approximately 30 years encompassing a broad range of cross-sectoral teaching, management and administrative contexts. In April 2008, she set up the consultancy M.J. Johnson & Associates. Since then she has successfully completed a number of consultancies for both government and non-government clients.

Her work experience includes State and Commonwealth Government administrative positions, often overseeing and supporting the systemic rollout of a range of capability building initiatives. Twenty years of classroom teaching, workplace delivery and consultancy, project management and line management positions have developed her skills in team-based leadership and management, strategic planning, designing innovative responses to sectoral needs and implementation of national and statewide initiatives.

Her work has included conducting AQTF 2007 audits of Registered Training Organisations, including secondary colleges delivering VETiS, on behalf of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority. She has also worked with various school clusters in the preparation of applications for funding for Trades Training Centres in School program.
