The Conference - Skills Connect - will explore the abundant training and skill attainment opportunities available to public-private enterprises across regional Western Australia. Skills Connect will be opened by the Minister for Energy; Training and Workforce Development, the Hon Peter Collier MLC with a special presentation to follow by the Department of Training and Workforce Development Director General, Dr Ruth Shean.
As our keynote speaker, Mr Richard Goyder, Managing Director of Wesfarmers, will be providing attendees with an insight into the need for training and job development from the perspective of Australia's largest private sector employer. Representatives from AHURI, the Department of Education, the Wheatbelt Development Commission, WestOne Services, Landmark, McIntosh & Son and Directions Employment Services will also be giving presentations.
