Help with language, literacy and numeracy:

If you need help with literacy, or just some extra reading and writing skills, you don't need to worry. You can get help while you learn on the job.  Your trainer will assist you in this area, but for information, here is a useful website:

• Reading Writing Hotline   (1300 6555 06 - you can call this number, or visit the website.  The Reading Writing Hotline is Australia’s national telephone adult literacy and numeracy referral service. 

Information about Australian Apprenticeships:

www.aajobpathways.com.au - Australian government website providing a tool which allows you to search sample Australian Apprenticeships job descriptions which are aligned to qualifications from national Training Packages.  The website also provides links to information and resources such as careers advisers.

www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au - Australian government website providing information about Australian Apprenticeships, and links to  Australian Apprenticeship Centres, and Skills and Training Information Centres (STICs).
