  Welcome

Welcome to the plumbing industry – one of the few trades that is licensed and very much in demand.

The plumbing industry covers a wide range of occupations. These include:

  • water
  • sanitary
  • roof plumbing
  • fire protection
  • mechanical services
  • gasfitting
  • drainage
  • irrigation

Plumbers install and maintain pipes, fixtures, metal roofing, boilers, pumps, heating and cooling systems, natural gas appliances, hot water systems … and the list goes on. Such variety provides many plumbing career paths and a lifelong career in the plumbing trade.

The requirement for entry into the plumbing sector involves undertaking a combination of on the job training and studies through an education provider who is registered to deliver the Plumbing and Services Training Package (BCP03) which is the required standard for plumbing training being delivered in every State and Territory. The introduction of a national training package will make it easier for plumbers to find work throughout Australia.

This site is dedicated to linking you to information on plumbing careers, plumbing training, and important industry groups within the trade.
