Using CPP07 in the Cleaning Operations Sector
The CPP07 Property Services Training Package is the endorsed benchmark which relates units of competency to national qualifications, and provides guidelines for assessment for the Cleaning Operations Sector. Training Packages are developed by industry to meet current and emerging skills needs. They enable RTOs to develop flexible training programs to meet particular enterprise, regional or individual training needs, while maintaining the core integrity of a national qualification.
Qualifications and units of competency for the Cleaning Operations Sector were first endorsed in December 1998 as part of the PRM98 Asset Maintenance Training Package. A review and revision of PRM98 resulted in the PRM04 Asset Maintenance Training Package which was endorsed in February 2004, and included the following areas of the cleaning industry:

The PRM04 Training Package has recently been revised and integrated into the CPP07 Training Package. The above industry areas have been redeveloped as the Cleaning Operations Sector in the CPP07 Training Package in recognition of industry practice and to facilitate greater flexibility and relevance with regard to training and assessment. The processes of development and review which have been undertaken since 1998 have ensured the qualifications and units of competency for the Cleaning Operations Sector remain relevant and provide effective coverage of the sector's current and emerging skill needs.
