- You will be dealing with customers all the time, so you need good inter-personal and communication skills.
- Because you'll be working in and may be responsible for leading a team of people, you need some cultural sensitivity because often these team members come from different cultural backgrounds.
- You'll be solving technical problems for clients, so you need to be able to explain what you are doing in terms that non-technical people understand. You need the ability to calm people down and make them feel that you have things under control.
- You need to be smart and come up with something that works better than the previous system in place. You need to be able to find faults and fix them quickly.
- You have to be open to learning about new systems and what they can do and be disciplined and responsible in your approach to work.
