Before embarking on establishing or purchasing a small business, you should carefully evaluate whether you have the attributes to make it work for you. You have to love being your own boss and be self motivated and determined to succeed. Be aware that you will be working long hours and have to take responsibility for everything that happens so a positive outlook is essential.
To manage a small business in the electronic security industry and be regarded as credible, you should have the Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management or have a business partner with this qualification.
