- Coming into operations management in electronic security you will need excellent communication skills, high level presentation skills and assertive inter-personal skills and the ability to relate to people from widely diverse cultural backgrounds.
- You need to build your negotiating skills and build relationships with and defuse potential conflict situations with clients. Most importantly, you will be managing people, and your job is to lead and motivate your team, while further developing their skills and encouraging them to participate and improve their performance. You will actively seek feedback from clients with a view to improving your own performance and that of your team
- You need to have a broad knowledge of regulatory and licensing requirements and be responsible for compliance with codes of practice and standards. You will be expected to identify opportunities to improve security operations, systems and work processes and participate in assessing the viability of new ideas and implementing new approaches.
- You will be involved in developing risk management plans, applying complex problem solving techniques, using statistical measures, and devising solutions that are attractive to your clients.
- You need a really strong understanding of the capabilities of electronic security systems and how they can be applied.
