Good communication skills are required, along with the ability to impart information well and apply a range of well-developed skills and knowledge to security systems and risk management.

To be awarded the Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management, you need to successfully complete a total of 15 units of competency (sometimes referred to as subjects). Eleven of the units are compulsory and the remaining four are elective units which must be selected according to the qualification packaging rules.

A Registered Training Organisation (TAFE or private provider) could offer a course similar to the one listed below, which covers the skills and knowledge typically required by a control room supervisor.
