The CPSISC represents the workforce training and development needs of an extremely large and vitally important sector of the Australian economy – the Construction and Property Services Industries. So if you - or your business - designs, builds, maintains, manages or protects Australian property we are your skills development agency. The CPSISC brings together Construction Training Australia and Property Services Training Australia the former national Industry Training Advisory Bodies (ITABs), achieving great synergies from the union.
The CPSISC Board is committed to providing an authoritative and industry led approach to the supply of information and intelligence relating to the Construction and Property Services Industries skill and strategic workforce development needs. The CPSISC staff will provide a truly national approach to the development of quality industry owned Training Packages and products to achieve excellence in the design and implementation of nationally recognised qualifications.

- Articulate and advocate the training, skill and workforce development needs of the construction and property services industries.
- Facilitate the delivery of education and training services through the development of strong partnerships and the provision of high quality research and products.

The Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council:
- develops and promotes national training standards and qualifications;
- provides advice and assistance to companies and training providers on the use of these national standards and qualifications;
- helps promote jobs and careers in the construction and property services industries by encouraging quality training and highlighting career pathways
- works with industry to identify training needs and priorities and to influence the allocation of training places through Skills Australia; and
- collects and analyses strategic intelligence to use to provide industry leadership, representation and advice in order to:
- influence government policy, priorities and regulatory arrangements (including occupational licensing)
- continue to build a quality training culture in the industries.
We have recruited a dedicated and professional team.
Our membership and board of directors comprise representatives of peak employer and employee associations. Our other stakeholders are government agencies (including government training authorities), enterprises, industry regulators, registered training organisations and skill centres and state and industry training advisory bodies and councils.
Our operations are overseen by an experienced and responsible Board of Directors.
Many individuals and organisations assist us in achieving our goals through their participation in the Industry Advisory Commitees.
